Universities Training College (UTC)

The Universities Training College (UTC) brings together a wide range of university-based counselling and psychotherapy programmes. It therefore covers a wide range of psychotherapy approaches and experience.

Universities Training College (UTC) aims to improve the standards of academic psychotherapeutic training and education. It provides a forum for further developing an academic research base for psychotherapeutic counselling and psychotherapy through university-based training programmes.

Members of the Universities Training College (UTC) are registered through our member organisation, Universities Psychotherapy and Counselling Association (UPCA).

Get Involved

We welcome engagement and participation in committees. Contributing to the life of the college in this way can influence the direction of the field within the UK. It offers the opportunity to make a difference to members, trainees, the public and communities through active involvement in the development of policy standards, education and training, practice, research, ethics, membership and communications.

Applications are welcome from people who have relevant knowledge, skills and experience in contributing to or being responsible for service delivery in organisations, or who have a unique area of expertise which could be beneficial or relevant to the developmental process within the college.
