During Covid-19 lockdown, I am continuing to offer psychotherapy and supervision. However, like everyone else, am only working remotely. For the duration I am seeing all clients on line, using Zoom or VSee.
I am a fully qualified Psychotherapist with over 20 years’ experience in private practise with self-referring adults. I offer a safe, confidential, non-judgemental place in which anxieties, fears, frustrations and sorrows can be expressed and explored. Therapy can be about addressing specific difficulties, and working through pain, anger, loss and trauma. However, I believe psychotherapy can also be a creative and vibrant process of deepening understanding, exploring meaning and discovering new possibilities.
I have experience of working with a wide range of issues, including; bereavement, depression, anxiety, stress, shame, relationship issues, work-related issues, blocked creativity, attachment issues and trauma.
My approach is integrative Transpersonal. My practise is informed and refreshed by on-going training, and research being undertaken across diverse psychotherapeutic models. As well as insights offered by Psychodynamic modalities, Attachment Theory and Neuroscience, I am interested in the impact of inter-generational trauma and questions concerning displacement/belonging and identity.
I am also a qualified, registered Supervisor with over 10 years’ experience of supervising both individuals and groups.
I provide supervision to counsellors and psychotherapists in private practise, and have extensive experience of working with individuals and groups within diverse organisational settings, including; schools and colleges, NHS counselling services, The Children’s Society, Cruise Bereavement Service, and organisations providing support to Asylum Seekers and Refugees.
