Read our latest guidance and resources about therapy during COVID-19.
My approach is integrative-transpersonal. I believe the balances and tensions of the emotional, physical, psychological and spiritual aspects of human experience all deserve, and require, attention. I draw from different therapeutic ideas and techniques in response to each person's unique life situation. Curiosity and compassion are our allies, helping us to approach fears and hurts and hopes with discernment rather than judgment, and to discover new possibilities.
During Covid-19 lockdown I moved my whole practice on line (Zoom and VSee). While most of my practice continues on line, I am now offering a limited number of face to face slots.
I am a fully qualified Psychotherapist with over 20 years’ experience in private practise with self-referring adults. I offer a safe, confidential, non-judgemental space in which anxieties, fears, frustrations and sorrows can be expressed and explored. Therapy can help to address specific difficulties and work through pain, anger, loss and trauma; it is a creative and vibrant process for deepening understanding, exploring meaning and discovering new possibilities (and joy).
I have experience of working with a wide range of issues, including; bereavement, depression, anxiety, stress, shame, relationship issues, work-related issues, blocked creativity, attachment issues, displacement and trauma.
My practice is informed and refreshed by my commitment to on-going training and research. As well as insights offered by Psychodynamic modalities, Attachment Theory and Neuroscience, I am interested in the impact of inter-generational trauma and questions concerning displacement/belonging and identity.
I am also a qualified, registered Supervisor with over 15 years’ experience of supervising both individuals and groups.
I provide supervision to counsellors and psychotherapists in private practise, and have extensive experience of working with individuals and groups across diverse organisational settings, including; schools and colleges, NHS counselling services, The Children’s Society, Cruse Bereavement Service, and a number of organisations providing support to Asylum Seekers, Refugees and other Migrants in crisis.
