I work with individuals with a range of problems in their lives, often for reasons that are not always clear to them. Difficult childhoods, relationship problems and work or money stress can leave us feeling low in mood or anxious and cause us sleepless nights, exacerbating the problems in a vicious cycle. Clients may have been told they suffer depression or anxiety problems, such as social anxiety, generalised anxiety, phobias or OCD. In each case, I work with clients to help them overcome unhelpful ways of thinking and behaving that may be maintaining their current difficulties and support them in addressing underlying problems to make it less likely that they will experience similar difficulties in the future. Coming from a background in media/marketing, sales and finance, I often help people address work-related stress and other employment or careers difficulties.
I also work with couples to help them improve their communications with each other and find more constructive ways to make decisions and solve problems together.
I work as a CBT specialist (BABCP accredited) , although I originally trained in integrative therapy, and have also completed specialist training in CBT for couples. In addition, I am registered and available as a clinical supervisor.
