About me
The work involves becoming more of an observer about your emotional world, how you react to situations, your thoughts?. What motivates you?, What you want or expect from life? Making sense of behaviour patterns, current and past along with newfound objectivity, allows more possibilities to emerge. Then, you can decide if your reactions/ responses are helpful or not? This type of exploration and understanding brings both relief from distressing symptoms and opens up the option of lasting change. I am an experienced psychoanlalytic psychotherapist with extensive experience in the NHS including Secondary Care and IAPT, Higher Education with students and private practice. I was a member of The Inner City Centre psychothreapy referral network for more than twenty years.

The First Consultation - what to expect
I invite potential patients to meet for an initial consultation, for you to think about whether this treatment will be right for you and for me to consider if I feel you will be able to make use of this process, which is not right for everyone. At this appointment, we can think together about how you can move forward with your problems, It is possible I recommend another type of therapy or another therapist, who I believe might suit your needs better
