I have developed an integrative style over the last 30 years, moulding my approach to each Individual/couple I work with. I work alongside you to find out together what holds you back in life, how to understand it and how to develop strategies which will support you in changing old ways of relating into better working ones.
I work with Individuals and Couples on a short- or long-term basis, depending on their individual circumstances and needs. We would address these individual needs in a first consultation session, where we would also decide on length and frequency of the ongoing therapy sessions.
I have been working as a psychotherapist for over 30 years and work in an integrative and psychodynamic working model. I have a background in body-psychotherapy and a particular interest in working with physical manifestations of emotional issues, such as panic attacks, recurring 'mystery' pains etc.
I am also very interested in the unconscious processes and beliefs underlying our relating to others and the world at large and will engage with those during our work together in an attempt to raise more awareness and therefore more choice in behaviours and outlooks.
Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.
