I would define myself as an integrative psychotherapist and group analyst. I started my journey in the clinical world her in my own country of origin, Mexico where I qualified as a clinical psychologist. I then worked in Italy for several years, whilst also training in both Bologna and England, where I trained as a psychotherapist, eventually working in England. My travellings and experience working in different languages and cultural backgrounds has given me the opportunity to gain valuable experience and work with different clients and age groups, having worked in several NHS services, specialising with children, adolescent and adults experiencing acute, severe and chronic mental health difficulties.
My starting point is the possibility for change and renovation that we all have somewhere inside of us. We can experience day to day challenges but by adapting and adjusting, this can be a joyful or happy experience but at other times we endure abrupt and critical circumstances, that we struggle to cope with as our usual strategies do not seem to work. If this prolongs in time, we become overwhelmed where our day to day life and most significant relationships are also impacted upon. We do not need to go through this alone and it can feel daunting to ask for professional support in order to find a safe and neutral space to think and reflect about for ourselves; awareness promotes change and growth.
