Finding the right therapist can be a daunting process. I believe that it is important for you to feel a positive connection with your therapist if you are to receive the most beneficial experience from Psychotherapy.
I believe that the healer is within you, but I also understand that it is difficult for anyone to self heal without support. My purpose is not only to assist you with the healing process, but also to facilitate your change and growth and help you to naturally awaken your own life supporting behaviours.
It is my belief that in order for us to truly achieve our full potential and live life in alignment with our true purpose, any healing should take into account all aspects of being, both internal and external, positive and negative.
You may have an idea of what you would like to work on, or this may be something we can explore together. I find that this often develops as I get to know my clients and a level of trust and connection is formed.
My training is Humanistic and Integrative, which means that I am able to draw upon a number of different approaches to therapy. I value the uniqueness of my clients and respect that we all have our own individual stories. I also work under the belief that we are all connected. The way we view ourselves is connected to our relationship with others, and the way others view us is connected to the way we view ourselves. Co-creatively, we will work together. At times this will involve working with the 'here and now', bringing our awareness into the present moment to explore what happens in the room between us, helping you to better understand your patterns of relating with others.
