My Approach

I believe that with the right support, we can all find the best way to live our lives, resolve our problems and face our difficult issues. My aim is to provide this type of support in a warm, thoughtful and hope filled way.

About Me

I am qualified in existential psychotherapy and person-centred counselling. I have 16 years of counselling experience with young people and adults in various settings, including schools, colleges, a Wellbeing Centre, and the NHS.

I currently work for START, which used to be Winchester and Basingstoke Rape Crisis Centres.

I offer Zoom or phone sessions. There is a free initial 30 minute session available, for you to ask me questions, and for us both to see is I am the right person to work with you.

Further sessions cost £36.00 for 60 minutes.

Special Interests

Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.

I feel every peroid of life brings it's potential challenges and joys. I also feel that finding a way to embrace these differing experiences can be very difficult, but ultimately they are also the way that we really get to fully appreciate how unique and amazing we are.
I have experience of supporting people through this very difficult life challenge as a counsellor. I also have additional experince of working with grieving people and dying people when I worked as a social worker for the Duchess of Kent Hospice in Reading.
Sadly depression is a very common human condition. Living with depression can be a very lonely experince. I would hope alleviate this sense of aloneness, and also to support people to identify the root of their depression, and ways to ease their situation.
Knowing who we are, and what we want from ourselves and others is one of the most important journeys of self-discovery that we can embark on. It is something I try to embrace for myself, and I am always honoured when someone ask me to support them on this journey as their therapist.
I have training and experince in trauma counselling. I am currentle working for START, a Hampshire charity supporting people over the age of 11 who have experience both childhood and adult sexual abuse. I am committed and passionate about supporting peope who have experienced any form of trauma.
