Hello, I’m Sarah. It can be a difficult journey to reach the point where you decide to seek therapy. For some, it can be easier to talk to someone who is independent of friends and family, who can understand your experiences and help you to untangle difficult thoughts and emotions. For others, the thought of speaking to someone new, who is removed from your life can also be difficult, even though it feels like it may be beneficial to do so.
I offer a safe, supportive and confidential space that is separate from your everyday life where you can talk about and explore what is on your mind. I will work with you to cultivate a therapeutic environment that supports personal change and growth.
I adopt a multi-dimensional approach in working with clients, which means my way of working draws on a combination of developmental theory, relational psychoanalytic theory and interpersonal neurobiology, where I seek to bring to together the mind-body-brain so that all aspects of your experience have the potential to be recognised and understood. Therefore, my way of working accentuates helping my clients to explore their experiences as human beings in order to facilitate transformation and growth.
As an experienced and accredited UKCP clinical integrative psychotherapist, I work with individuals and couples over engagements that can be short- or long-term, depending on how we decide to work together.
Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.
