I am an experienced Existential Psychotherapist and Counselling Psychologist working with adults of all ages and backgrounds, assisting in clarifying any issue the client is wishing to pay attention to. Dialogue and Co-operation are at the centre of this process, which assists creative, embodied and mindful explorations and experiences of self and world. In an atmosphere of genuine curiosity, the focus is on careful listening and attentive reflection in a non-judgemental way. This is also the approach I offer in my role as a Supervisor. At present I work in Sydenham SE26, now mainly online, and in person in a covid-safe manner when the situation permits. I have completed the UKCP Covid-19 Online Working Guidance
I am of Swiss-British-Italian heritage, which has given me a particular insight into questions of identity and has informed my interest in different cultures and migration. I speak fluently Swiss-German and German and have an intimate knowledge of the Italian and French language and culture, having lived in those linguistic zones at various points in my life. As a regular practitioner of meditation for over 20 years I pay particular attention to questions of Being and mindful living. Both Eastern and Existential-Phenomenological philosophies inform my work as well as Gestalt theory, the Natural World, the Neurobiology of Trauma, and Embodied approaches such as Body-Mind-Centering and Yoga.
