I am a psychotherapist and also a registered stress management (autogenic) therapist. In practice this means that I work with clients in an integrative way, using all of my skills as far as they are helpful to you, the client. My psychotherapy training is in psychosynthesis which means I hold not only our relationship, but also your individual sense of meaning, purpose and values, as being central to our work.
An important aspect of my approach is to listen to you very carefully, and really hear and understand your concerns. Your life experience is unique and I will not make assumptions about you or about what I think you are going through. It is essential that you feel fully understood and empathised with. In your story I also seek to hear what it is not being said explicitly, to bring out that which you may be experiencing but are so far unable to put into words.
I believe that the most difficult times of our lives can become the most fruitful, if we can integrate our experiences, thoughts and feelings in an empowering way. We often need the help of another person to accomplish this, and it is this which I hope to help you with.
I prefer long term face to face work, but can also do short term work and online counselling using teleconferencing. All our sessions are strictly confidential.
