My approach is collaborative, supportive and embraces you as an individual with your very personal life story and way of being.
I will provide the space for you to express how you are feeling and what has happened to you in the past, or is happening to you now. Together, we will explore your thoughts, feelings, behaviours, memories and beliefs regarding the issue that brings you to therapy at a pace determined by you. We will discuss how you would like this to change and how I can support you in this. We will work towards reducing the negative emotional impact your experience has on you, identifying changes you want to make in your life to improve the quality of your life, and building resilience for the future.
I offer a relationship in which you can learn about yourself and the way you relate to others so that you can reflect on underlying beliefs about people and relationships, and make changes towards more fulfilling relationships.
I am an Integrative Psychotherapist qualified to Masters level and I have 15 years of experience providing counselling and psychotherapy to couples and individuals. I have experience in working in private practice, for local and national charities, and in providing High Intensity Counselling to NHS clients.
I take referrals from private individuals, private health insurances and through Employee Assistance Programmes.
I offer psychotherapy, counselling, supervision and training.
Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.
