I am more accurately described as a body-mind-relational psychotherapist. I carry a particular focus on enactment theory and parallel processing, as I believe that the psyche is driven to repeat its wounded patterns in subsequent relationships not just because of a damaged reflex but in search of a transformational process born from experiencing again what was dissociated previously.
I am in my early sixties, and have been practicing since 1996, having trained as a Body Psychotherapist from The Chiron Centre. I write extensively, and my articles are available on my website. My interests include the integration of psychotherapeutic theory with biology and physics, incorporating such as complexity theory, emergence theory, fractality and so on. I work on a principle that if it's in the psyche then it's in nature, and if it's in nature then it's in the psyche.
Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.
