About Me

It takes courage to decide to reach out for support and finding the right therapist to do your work with can feel like a daunting task all by itself. Now having more than 15 years experience of working with groups and individuals seeking help to change I have learned that it isn’t any single technique or approach the makes therapy helpful but crucially the connection and trust in the relationship with your therapist is key to the success of your therapy.

When you feel genuinely comfortable and safe with your counsellor, that’s when real change becomes possible. With my knowledge and experience I bring both professional expertise and a deeply personal and practical down to earth understanding of the journey toward healing and recovery.

My own life took a transformative turn in 2008 when I engaged with the 12-Step Fellowship Programme — a decision that inspired me to change both my life and my career. Since then, I have worked across a wide range of settings, including frontline addiction services, residential rehabilitation, family addiction support, sexual abuse survivor services, and private practice. This breadth of experience has shaped me into a grounded, compassionate therapist with a genuine understanding of what it takes to change.
I hold a BSc Hons in Psychotherapeutic Counselling from Middlesex University, alongside a Diploma and Certificate in Integrative Counselling. I am also a trained Freedom Programme Facilitator, reflecting my commitment to supporting those affected by domestic abuse and coercive control.
I work with clients aged 16 and older, with specialisms in anxiety, trauma, sexual abuse, addiction, and substance misuse. My integrative approach draws on a rich blend of modalities — including attachment theory, neurobiology, trauma-informed techniques, somatic psychosensory work, developmental psychology, epigenetics, and Jungian psychology — allowing me to tailor each therapeutic relationship to the individual in front of me.
Across my career I have worked with organisations including Open Road Recovery (Chelmsford), Abbeycare Rehabilitation (Scotland), Iceni (Ipswich), Survivors in Transition (Ipswich), Water Lane Counselling (Bishop’s Stortford), and Matrix College.
Wherever you are in your story, I offer a safe, non-judgmental space to explore, heal, and grow.
