I am a highly qualified psychotherapist offering counselling and psychotherapy to people facing challenges such as anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, a strong inner critic, bullying, bereavement, trauma and living with chronic pain.
I offer compassion and support for you to become more aware of patterns that may once have served you well but can now keep you stuck. I listen and work with you to understand and accept the painful parts of life, unravel difficulties and create options for change.
I aim to be warm, genuine and candid to help you increase your strengths and resourcefulness. We all have the capacity to grow and meet the world with more joy, I am there to help you both face what is tough and explore growth and excitement.
My six years training to a Masters degree in Gestalt psychotherapy is underpinned by my creative background in film and television, deep experience in working with people in organisations and fifteen years supporting those who feel life is no longer worth living. These give me empathy and a wide range of ways we can approach issues together.
For me, our work is a shared enterprise and our relationship a key source of insight: here you and I can appreciate the ways you’ve adjusted to survive life’s difficulties and you’re able to try out new possibilities to take back out into your life
I see individuals for short-term and long-term work, remotely and face to face. I welcome hearing from you so we can start to discuss where you are and what you hope for and want.
Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.
