Special Interests

Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.

Rebekah continues to work within the NHS, and is now covering a senior post in London as a Clinical Psychotherapist, where she specialises in working with those who have palliative care needs. This includes working with both patients and carers who are approaching the end of life stage.
Rebekah is a qualified and very experienced EMDR therapist, and has two other EMDR therapists working alongside her at Stepping Stones. The EMDR team have worked extensively using EMDR, using this highly effective therapy with clients who have experienced a range of traumas, are diagnosed with PTSD / cPTSD, those who have addictions, suffer with anxiety and have phobias, to name a few.
Rebekah has extensive experience - over 28 years - in working with those who have mental health issues, and carefully chooses her team to also reflect this experience and level of expertise. Rebekah is passionate about providing the most appropriate, timely and high quality support to those who are experiencing mental health difficulties and she works proactively in the mental health community to aid the movement towards proactive wellbeing support, thereby aiming to reduce mental health crises.
Rebekah is a Clinical Supervisor, and is awaiting confirmation of her completion of a L6 Diploma in Individual and Group Supervision. Rebekah have worked with trainee and qualified counsellors as their supervisor over several years. She is supported in this provision by two other therapists who are also supervisors.
Rebekah is a Trauma Therapist, who is qualified to L6, as well as in a range of extended trauma therapies.
