Reaching out for help can be difficult and daunting, as can be coming for psychotherapy. I will provide a safe, confidential and non-judgmental environment where you can explore what the next steps in your journey will be and how we can undertake them together.
I work in an integrative way which means that I can offer a range of styles and techniques. Some clients I see enjoy finding out about how our psyche works and applying that to their experiences, some clients just prefer to talk. Some of my clients find it difficult to talk about feelings and their experiences, and then we can use creative and imaginative techniques. Whether you are struggling with anxiety or depression, have difficulties with relationships or family issues, I have experience supporting my clients through short-term, goal-oriented work; and through long term work reaching more in-depth, and looking at psyche as a whole. I have an understanding of a variety of symptoms and conditions, but my approach is always to look for your unique experience of the difficulties you are facing.

Psychotherapy can be a different experience for every one of us. For some it is about a safe and non-judgmental space, where it's OK to speak about difficult topics and express yourself freely. Others appreciate directness, openness of communications and a challenge to their set ways of being. Often we look at what is happening in the here and now, and use our experience together to look at how you relate with others outside the therapy room.
Most of therapy work is spoken. Sometimes we may focus of what is happening for you in your body, work creatively or move around. Therapy with me doesn't involve touch.
Therapy can be a difficult and sometimes painful process and I will do my best to support you through that journey, to provide safe and confidential environment. In the end it can be hugely rewarding process, that can change your life and how you choose to live it. We will regularly review our work together and discuss our progress.
I have a rich theoretical background, which allows me to approach every client as unique individual and tailor my work to their needs. The models I currently base my work on are TA, CBT, Psycho-dynamic Psychotherapy, Mindfulness, Relational and Person-Centred Psychotherapy. Existential Psychotherapy has been an interest of mine since my psychology studies.
At the core of all the therapy schools is the relationship between the client and the therapist. That means that by being able to trust each other, share experiences and walk the journey alongside each other is the founding stone of change. And it is my goal to create this relationship with you, my client.
I am originally from Czech Republic, where I did my Psychology Degree. During my degree I gained experience with the mental health system, through volunteer work in Psychiatric Hospital for women. I have qualifications gained with the Northern Guild of Psychological Solutions in Therapeutic Counseling and Psychotherapy. I have gained my early counseling and psychotherapy experience working with Glasgow University Counselling Service. I currently run my own Private Practice in Bristol. I work with clients from all social and cultural backgrounds.
I am committed to my CPD (Continuous Professional Development) and I have participated in various workshops and seminars through out the years. I am continuously enriching my work through my studies. I regularly participate in supervision.
