I am an experienced Psychodynamic Psychotherapist registered with The United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy, (UKCP) and The Universities Psychotherapy and Counselling Association. (UPCA).
Clients seek help from me for many reasons, from feeling that life is literally unbearable to a vague sense of unease. Psychotherapy is not an academic exercise and often involves going into and experiencing powerful feelings with and sometimes in relation to your therapist. I will support and contain you in this process. It's hard to get a flavour of this without trying it and different therapists will work for different people. You are very welcome to meet with me to see if you think I would be a good therapist for you.
I work with a wide range of people and presentations including;
anxiety and depression,
unmanageable feelings; sadness, fear, anger,
Loss or separation,
Relationship issues, Identity, Sexual conflicts,
I initially trained as an Integrative therapist with Mindfulness based approach and then went on to complete a Masters in Psychodynamic Psychotherapy at the University of Brighton. I am influenced by a wide range of Psychoanalytic ideas and thinking and have undergone intensive Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy and supervision.
