My Approach

Is grounded in Gestalt psychotherapy, which is a phenomenological approach, your view of the world, feelings, thoughts, senses and bodily responses to your existential experiences. Gestalt modality offers a variety of creative methods to explore how you may bring their voice to the consulting room.
I work with individuals, couples and in groups. I hold a Diploma in Supervision awarded by the Gestalt Centre and accredited by the Middx Uni

About Me

I have over 20 years experience in social work, primarily with children & families and 15 years as a psychotherapist with individual adults and groups. My working relationship with you aims to support awareness through meaningful contact. To explore the effects of your life's experiences, painful or otherwise and this may include self harm, addiction, self esteem & confidence issues, identity, relationships difficulties, low/high mood, emotional and mental health concerns attachment/rejection. The space is confidential and containing.

How I appear to others and the experience of being a woman of colour, brings with it a dimension to the interpersonal experience and I welcome the curiosity.

I work primarily in London and in have a small practice in the Brighton area.

Special Interests

Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.

neglect, sexual, self harm, identity issues
ethnic or racial identity and what happens when I am with those who wish to 'other' me. Or might I be a person who projects my fears meaning the world is a scary place - "I'm scared"
low mood, struggling to interact with the world and life and living and feeling overwhelmed
who am I? How do I identify myself ; how others see me and see myself
From a framework that is psychodynamic, holistic and creative I offer clinical supervision to individuals and in groups.
