I am a qualified integrative psychotherapist and counsellor based in Clapham, SW London and Bembridge, Isle of Wight. I understand that taking the first steps to psychotherapy can be a daunting prospect especially if you are in distress, and there may be considerable anxiety about talking to someone new.
Due to the current Covid-19 pandemic and government advice about social activities, I have moved all my work online. I am offering sessions via Skype or Zoom or telephone. Do contact me for further information.
I welcome you to contact me by phone or email for an initial discussion. We can then arrange a first meeting where I will listen to your concerns and explain how I work therapeutically and if you’d like to continue we can arrange regular ongoing weekly sessions.
I believe the quality of the client-therapist relationship is the most important experience in therapy, essential to a positive outcome. I hope to build a therapeutic relationship with you that is supportive, trusting, genuine and provides a safe, secure and confidential place for you to talk openly with someone who is neutral and non-judgemental.
I offer short-term or long-term therapy to adults to help with a variety of psychological issues including anxiety, depression, addiction, low self-esteem, bereavement, work problems, relationship issues and many other things that may seem overwhelming or frightening to you.
Psychotherapy can help us to understand and gain awareness of ourselves and why we behave in certain ways. We can become conscious of how we express and respond to different emotions, how we communicate, how we form and maintain relationships or how we manage conflict, and we can develop the capacity to change things for the better.
I work as an Integrative Psychotherapist. This means that I draw on a number of different strands of psychotherapy including humanistic, psychodynamic and relational to create a unique way of working depending upon the needs of the individual client, but based upon building a deep and trusting collaborative relationship with the client and using this as a supportive platform to explore your concerns with you.
I also provide supervision to trainees and qualified therapists.
I work with clients from all backgrounds, cultures, races, beliefs and sexualities.
I adhere to the UKCP Code of Ethics.
