I am an integrative therapist who works relationally, incorporating dreams, IFS (Internal Family Systems Therapy Level 3), psychodynamic theory, mindfulness, shadow work, somatic experiencing, neuroscience and humanistic approaches. Understanding and making meaning of experience is at the heart of my practice.
I trained at BCPC (Bath centred for psychotherapy and counselling) and have engaged with a broad range of issues whilst seeing students and adults in private practice and I specialise in working with Trauma. I explore how early experiences can have an impact on the ‘here and now’ creating a safe and genuine relationship as the foundation of the work.
Alongside my private practice I manage a counselling service in a local further and higher education college where I supervise a team of 9 therapists. I also work with inpatient and outpatients offering 1 to 1 and group therapy at a local hospital. Finally, I am tutor on the BCPC counselling foundation course in Bath.
I am a qualified UKCP Supervisor with CSTD (The Centre for Supervision Training and Development).
Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.
