Gentle, empathic ways of working which respect and honour the client are at the heart of my way of working. I use sandtray and creative exploration or simply explore through listening and talking, with an emphasis on finding a way of working tailored to the individual client. My space is in a round, wooden cabin in my garden which offers light, warmth and a natural setting in which to feel comfortable and relaxed as we explore together.
I am an experienced psychotherapist working with a broad range of issues, particularly early life experiences, identity, anxiety, depression and stress. I work in a humanistic integrative way with adults, children and young people, couples, families and schools. A large proportion of my work is with young people and in addition I offer training to other professionals working with children and young people. I am trained to Masters level in integrative psychotherapy with a research interest in attunement. Feel free to contact me with your enquiry.
warm wishes,
Mikala
Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.
