Sometimes you may be troubled, but find it difficult to think things through by yourself. Psychotherapy allows you the opportunity to talk openly and in confidence about whatever is on your mind to someone who is trained to listen in a way that helps you work through your current difficulties, which may have their source in the past. This type of conversation offers you the possibility of lasting change.
As an integrative therapist, working in both English and Farsi, my approach draws upon a range of therapeutic models to suit each client. Combining humanistic, psychodynamic and transpersonal psychotherapy, I work with issues including stress, relationship problems, anxiety and depression, bereavement, the effects of redundancy, issues around immigration and low self-esteem.
I work with individuals, couples and young people in a safe, comfortable and confidential environment. I aim to build a professional relationship of trust and authenticity through an unconditional and non-judgemental approach.
The therapy might be short or long-term, depending on individual needs. If you would like to discuss whether psychotherapy is appropriate for you, please feel free to make an appointment for an initial consultation. This gives both of us the opportunity to meet to discuss your issues and find out if we would like to meet further. I work face to face and also offer telephone counselling during the daytime and evenings.
