My Approach

Hello, I am Lorna, a qualified therapist working online and in-person from my base in the North East of England.

I offer a warm and supportive relationship for people wanting to improve their mental health and wellbeing. To work through issues in the present or the past that may be contributing to how you’re feeling.

Together we’ll determine your goals for therapy and then work towards them. I combine several therapeutic modalities and tailor therapy to your needs, offering ongoing therapy or short-term sessions that are solution-focused.

The mind-body connection is part of my work as the body houses emotional stress and trauma. I’m also a trauma-informed yoga teacher and welcome clients interested in yoga, breath and movement/exercise.

Therapy can offer many possibilities for understanding, acceptance, change or growth and finding the right therapist is essential. The relationship is key to the work, and it’s important you feel comfortable with your therapist.

My clinical experience spans NHS, the charity sector and private practice. I also have over 25 years of experience working in the creative, video games and tech industries. I proudly work with many clients who are neurodiverse & part of the LGBTQ+ community.

If you would like to speak with me to get a sense of if I’m the right therapist for you and ask me questions about starting therapy
feel free to contact me to arrange a free 15-minute call.

I look forward to hearing from you
Warmly
Lorna
