I have over 10 years experience as a Core Process Psychotherapist. This mindfulness based approach to therapy works at all levels of our being, thoughts, feelings, perceptions and the body. Over time we work to build up your skill and capacity to be with difficult issues and subject matter, working to get underneath the story and into the present experience, so we can feel what is going on and therefore work to release it.
Working to release shock and trauma held with in the body, and to become aware of the beliefs we have about ourselves, allows us to move from a defensive contracted position in the world, to a more open expansive and relaxed way of being.
The skills learned not only help us to release and work with our histories, they are skills that we can take with us into the future to support us in our ongoing journey.
I also have trained as a wild therapist, allowing me to take the work outdoors and into nature. This builds up our connection to the other than human, and allows to experience the magic of what can spontaneously manifest as we walk and talk about our issues.
