I believe that human connection can be transformative and helping my clients feel understood is at the heart of what I do. My approach is integrative, which means I draw on a range of theories and techniques to support my work. I see therapy as an opportunity to increase self-awareness, to develop new ways of coping and an opportunity for personal growth. I offer short-term solution focussed counselling and longer-term psychotherapy.
I currently provide sessions via online platforms including Zoom and Skype. Please note, due to the current COVID-19 restrictions, I am not able to offer face to face sessions at this time.
I am an Integrative Psychotherapist registered by the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP), and Counsellor registered by the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP).
I have 17 years experience of supporting people with their mental well-being in a variety of settings and have been in clinical practice for 7 years. These include working with people referred for support in an NHS primary care context, the women's sector, the refugee sector and with students in Higher Education.
Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.
