I believe that human connection can be transformative and helping my clients feel understood is at the heart of what I do. My approach is integrative, which means I draw on a range of theories and techniques to support my work. I see therapy as an opportunity to increase self-awareness, to develop new ways of coping and an opportunity for personal growth. It provides a safe supportive environment to work through painful or traumatic experiences, change self-destructive behaviours and habits and improve your relationships. I offer short-term solution focussed counselling and longer-term psychotherapy.
I currently provide sessions via online platforms including Zoom. Please note, due to the current COVID-19 restrictions, I am not able to offer clinic appointment at the moment.
I am an Integrative Psychotherapist registered by the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP), and Counsellor registered by the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP).
I have 18 years experience of supporting people with their mental well-being in a variety of settings and have been in clinical practice for 8 years. This includes working with people referred for support in an NHS primary care context, the women's sector, the refugee sector and with students in Higher Education.
Further details about how I work can be found at my Counselling Directory Profile at the following link:
Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.
