My Approach

I believe that human connection can be transformative and helping my clients feel understood is at the heart of what I do. My approach is integrative, which means I draw on a range of theories and techniques to support my work. I see therapy as an opportunity to increase self-awareness, to develop new ways of coping and an opportunity for personal growth. It provides a safe supportive environment to work through painful or traumatic experiences, change self-destructive behaviours and habits and improve your relationships. I have experience of offering short-term focused counselling and longer term psychotherapy contracts, however tend to work more mid to long term in my private practice. I am a LGBTQ+ affirmative Psychotherapist.

About Me

I have over 20 years experience of supporting people with their mental well-being in a variety of settings and have been in clinical practice since 2013. I am an Integrative Psychotherapist registered by the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP), and Counsellor registered by the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP). This includes working with people referred for support in an NHS primary care context, the women's sector, the refugee sector and with students in Higher Education.

Further details about how I work can be found at my Counselling Directory Profile at the following link:
