My Approach

Starting psychotherapy can feel strange at first and I try to make it as comfortable as possible. There's more information on my website. I aim to respond to queries within one working day.

About Me

Long term gains, to my mind, depend on getting to the heart of the matter. That's my aim whether you're looking to address something specific or something more general. My work is in depth and draws on attachment theory as well as modern developments in psychoanalysis.

Special Interests

Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.

My focus on long-term gains has proven especially useful in working with addiction and compulsivity.
I have long experience of working with people who feel anxious. Relationship, family and workplace stress seem to be most common.
I offer therapy for couples who want to address something going on between them. I also find that this expertise tends to be quite useful when I'm working with individuals who are in or have been in relationships.
People often come to me to address issues around gender in all its myriad forms, which has left me with a wider experience in this area.
Working with fertility is covered by special legal regulations and I am a member of the British Infertility Counselling Association.

Cost:

I generally start off with two introductory meetings to see whether this is right for you. The fee for these is £170 as a package to cover both.
