I am an experienced gestalt psychotherapist working in private practice in Edinburgh, offering psychotherapy, training and supervision. I am passionate about growth and transformation through healing relationship. I enjoy working with a wide range of people, and I value diversity. I have particular interests in attachment, trauma and spirituality. My approach is relational, embodied, collaborative, compassionate and creative. I work both short and long term, usually face to face. I have been involved in gestalt for nearly 20 years, and was a member of the Edinburgh Gestalt Institute executive team and training faculty for approx. 10 years, until leaving in 2017 to pursue other professional interests including writing. As a supervisor and trainer, I love the relational learning process, and I have particular skills in supporting an embodied integration of theory through creative and lively approaches. I enjoy working with experienced practitioners from all modalities, trainees working towards accreditation, managers and OD practitioners. My background is in addictions and mental health in the voluntary and statutory sectors. I work to the UKCP code of ethics. Please see my website (www.kirsteengreenholm.co.uk) for more details about gestalt and how I work.
