My Approach

As a transpersonal psychotherapist working with me offers you an opportunity to attend and be present with the many layers that make you, you. My working style as a therapist is underpinned by the transpersonal perspective which incorporates your psychospirtual development alongside an increased cognitive understanding of yourself..

I appreciate the variety of human experience and I offer a supportive space to explore your experiences resulting in an improved understanding of oneself often leading to empowerment and increased resilience. As a depth psychotherapist my integrative approach allows me to draw from a wide range of modalities which include but are not limited to psychodynamic, attachment theory, gestalt, person-centred and dreams.

Creative expression through the incorporation of art, writing, visualisation or delving into one’s world of dreams offers other ways of being in sessions which takes one beyond words and into the lands of symbolism.

About Me

I enjoy being amongst nature and observing the seasons and rhythms of the natural world. I think we too have our seasons that we drop in to within our internal worlds and psyches.

In my work as a transpersonal psychotherapist dreams are a particular passion of mine and I have undertaken CPD (continuous professional development) in dream psychotherapy.

Prior to becoming a psychotherapist I spent many years working in banking in the City of London and I have lived and worked overseas in Asia and Australia.

  • Private healthcare referrals

Special Interests

Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.

As you go through life you'll experience many transitions, some welcome, others not so welcome. In your younger years you may see blocks or difficulties in moving forward, in the years one might start a family you may be experiencing fertility issues or having struggles with parenting. During the later years in life your sense of identity and how those around you respond to you can bring up new emotions and bring on new experiences that you weren't expecting.
Anger is so often an unwanted emotion and following an expression of anger you may be left with difficult feelings. Therapy offers an opportunity to explore the roots of your anger and how you might express your anger, differently as well as offering ways of processing and dealing with your feelings that lay behind your anger.
Family dynamics can be some of the most challenging and having space outside of the family and from your role in the family can be helpful to provide space and reflection. We live in a culture that does not support new parents very well and becoming parents for the first time can bring up a range of different emotions and behaviours, some of which you may not have been expecting. I offer a non-judgmental space to explore what is means to you to be a parent.
Transpersonal therapy offers an expansive experience as you journey inwards. Transpersonal psychotherapy incorporates your consciousness as well as the cognitive aspects of who you are. There is a incorporation of both Western and Eastern traditions and perspectives which brings in many ways of working together and new experiences of one's self.
