Welcome, I am Kenyah Nyameche a UKCP registered Family Therapist; Family and Couple Psychotherapist; & Systemic Psychotherapist. I qualified in 2002 from Institute of Psychiatry, Kings College, London. I have a considerable number of years of experience working with individuals, couples, families, and organizations. I have particular interest in the role of fathers in the care of their ill children; the role and use of dolls in therapy; hair therapy; equality and diversity; psychological aspects to disability; psychological well-being matters in the workplace; working with young people, couples, and families impacted by sexuality; bullying; child on parent violence; family rehabilitation (post social care placement); identity issues; and cultural assimilation.
I work in private practice as well as working with multidisciplinary teams on specialist projects and services. My therapeutic approach is an eclectic mix of Systemic Consultations; Family Therapy: Structural, Narrative; and Non-Violent Resistance; and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and; Reprocessing).
