Welcome! I am a relational Gestalt psychotherapist specialising in anxiety, depression and trauma. I work online with people all over the UK, as well as face-to-face in Brighton and London. I work in Polish and English.
I imagine that you have come here because you want to grow and develop, whether you are new to therapy or have already had it in the past. I know that life can be tough and painful. I am here available to support you in a safe, confidential and non-judgemental atmosphere.
Do you feel stuck, trapped or overwhelmed and struggling to believe that things can change for the better?
Do you get easily sad, anxious, upset or angry and cannot understand why?
Do you have racing thoughts and are good at predicting what could go wrong?
Do you often put yourself down or blame yourself?
Are you struggling with self-love and self-compassion?
Do you feel not good enough even when you work really hard?
Do you often retreat into yourself, not exactly knowing why and maybe fearing the consequences of sharing your thoughts with others?
Do you fear rejection if you stay true to yourself?
Do you feel like you want to fit in, and often that means you need to wear a ‘mask’?
If you answered 'yes' to any of these questions, then I can help you. I invite you to have an initial consultation with me where we can discuss how I can help.
I work approaching you as a 'whole person' (Gestalt means 'whole') including your thinking, feelings, imagination, dreams and any other experience you may have. We will explore your experience together in a safe, non-judgement and confidential space in a creative way suited to your needs and preferences. For example, we may use metaphor, imagery, drawing, or other small objects. In my experience, when clients give space to, become curious about, and acknowledge the feelings that arise for them in our exploration in therapy, healing happens and clients often say that something has 'resolved' within them.
I can help you to understand yourself better, strengthen your ability to believe in and trust yourself, and develop kindness and acceptance towards yourself. I can support you, if you are interested, to use your body awareness as a way of supporting yourself in difficult situation to become more confident and grounded. I can support you to understand how past situations may still be impacting you in your life in a way which will bring you peace and a sense of resolution.
Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.
