I am an accredited clinical psychotherapist and counsellor with over 20 years experience working with conditions such as depression, anxiety and OCD. I specialise in the areas of eating disorders, addiction and traumatic stress.
In my work, I am reminded daily that everyone’s experience of life and it’s challenges is intensely unique and personal. Therefore, my focus is always on what each client wishes to achieve from our work. I am trained in a number of therapeutic models including integrative contemporary psychotherapy, EMDR, MBCT and hypnopsychotherapy. This means that my approach is responsive to client need so that we can explore, together, the most effective way forward for you.
I provide individual therapy and group psychotherapy, as well as workshops.
Irish born and raised, I lived and worked in other European countries before settling in England many years ago. Before retraining in psychotherapy, my professional background was in the commerical sector.
I have a love of language, travel and nature, a curiosity about people and their unique stories, and a delight in experiencing the richness of different cultures.
Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.
