I work with adult individuals and couples, both short and long term - face to face and online. I qualified as an Integrative Psychotherapist in 2007 but have since developed my practice to draw upon CBT and mindful-compassion ideas, as I believe they can be effective tools for change. I combine this with the deeper psychological work that involves looking at formative relationships made growing up.
I have extensive experience of working with depression and anxiety, and with anyone who has experienced a loss in pregnancy a struggle with their fertility. My book - The Brink of Being - talking about miscarriage was published by Virago Press in the UK and Penguin in the USA. It has also been published in Taiwan and Poland. I am writing another book about self-criticism for Virago Press.
I also offer supervision to therapists from many modalities, train individuals and organisations about pregnancy loss and examine communication skills for the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists.

Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.
