We all experience difficulties at some point in our lives. Most times, we are able to find a way through difficulties and dilemmas. Sometimes, despite our best efforts, we can end up feeling overwhelmed, confused, depressed or anxious and not sure what to do. At times like this, counselling can be helpful.
My approach is respectful, non-blaming and optimistic. I draw on a range of theoretical models with the aim of tailoring counselling/therapy to each person, their hopes and ambitions .Through the counselling/ therapy process, an individual's strengths, resources and competencies are more fully accessed - the abilities that have supported them through previous challenges . My aim is to re-establish these abilities and capabilities , to help client's work through challenges and to again live positive, hopeful and happy lives.
I have extensive experience of working with people who have had Depression, Stress, Traumatic Events & Experiences, Bereavement & Loss, Low Self-Esteem /Confidence, Family & Relationship Issues (including Separation, Divorce & Step Parenting Difficulties). I work with individuals, couples and Families.
