I am an experienced Psychodynamic Psychotherapist which means that my main approach is to focus mainly on early relationships, the unconscious and seeking understanding of what it is that may be causing you to feel low, anxious or stuck or in patterns of behaviour which are difficult to change. You may wish to explore various issues and I offer a confidential, accepting and safe space for discussion. The first session is to ensure that I feel I am the right person for you and it gives you a chance to see how I work.
Sessions are 50 minutes and I would see you weekly.
I have a wide range of experience having worked in private practice and within the NHS and I offer both long term and time limited (6 sessions) therapy . I use an eclectic approach having gained skills and knowledge over the years and I have had further training in CBT. Therapy offers a safe space to explore difficulties as well as helping you to gain self knowledge and insight, become aware of patterns of behaviour and bring about changes in your life.
