About Me

Hello,

Welcome & Thank you for viewing my profile.

My name is Jacqueline, I’m a professional, experienced qualified, accredited existential-analytic psychotherapist, integrative psychotherapist, dynamic interpersonal therapist & Couples Therapist for depression. I am a registered with the UKCP, BPC & BACP & I work in accordance with the ethical frameworks of these organisations to practice professionally & ethically. As part of my qualifications, I have a Masters (MSc) degree in Psychotherapy & Counselling, post graduate diploma and post graduate certificate in Psychotherapist & Counselling. I have a Couples Therapist Qualification certificate from Tavistock Relationships Organisation & Accredited Dynamic Interpersonal Therapist Qualification certificate from the Anna Freud Centre.

My expertise training has equipped with the right skills to work effectively with different therapy modalities during the sessions & help you with your difficulties, depending on what you are experiencing in your life & what you are hoping to get from therapy.

I have been working in the NHS mental health field and privately by providing adult therapy for 10 years. I work on a short-term & open-ended basis and offer sessions to individuals on a regular weekly basis.

Having over 10 years of extensive training, invaluable skills and experience has enabled me to work effectively with different ages, races, cultures and genders on different concerns. This includes helping you to get to the root of what is causing your anxiety, depression, identity issues, guilt, fear, shame, stress, trauma, PTSD & complex PTSD, inter-generational trauma, abuse, low self-esteem, understand unhealthy negative beliefs about yourself, others, life and find a way to move beyond thoughts & feelings of powerlessness and hopelessness to finding meaning, purpose & appropriate solutions.

Life can be challenging and there may be times when we find ourselves struggling to cope, out of control & in emotional pain. Whether you’re experiencing life & work pressures, challenging relationships, stresses, divorce & separation, meaninglessness, loneliness, miscarriage, race related issues, identity issues, health issues or stress. Therapy can help you gain greater awareness and understanding of your inner world, which can enable you to change these circumstances for the better and improve your wellbeing.

Therapy can help you understand your feelings, thoughts, repeated challenging patterns and what you’re experiencing in a non-judgemental and confidential environment. I will offer you the space to help you understand the root cause of your problems, realise your blind spots, unhelpful behaviours, choices, beliefs, problematic unhealthy patterns and what keeps you stuck.

I will work with you respectfully on a one-to-one basis based on your presenting problem & I won't apply a one size fits all approach instead I will tailor your treatment individually. This will enable us to work collaboratively and find appropriate solutions to address your concerns.
As a professional experienced psychotherapist, I can help you to gain insight into your concerns, explore your feelings, thoughts, motivations & to help you understand why you might find yourself experiencing painful feelings, repeating negative or unwanted patterns in your life. In doing so, with appropriate changes you may become better equipped to deal with your concerns, make better conscious choices that apply to your situation and thereby improve the quality of your life and well-being. So, whether you are looking to address your difficulties, resolve a specific problem, or a more complex and deep-seated emotional issue, I am able offer you the space to think through your concerns and talk confidentially and feel listened to and supported.

My therapy approach is authentic, warm, compassionate and understanding. More than anything I hope to provide a relaxed space where you can truly be yourself, without fear of judgement, expectations or demands being put upon you.
Underpinning my approach is the importance of creating a safe space & a trusting therapeutic relationship between the client & I. I believe it is an important aspect to facilitating good counselling and psychotherapy.

If you have any questions, queries or would like to book an initial consultation, please feel free to get in touch with me to book a consultation. It is essential that you find a therapist that you feel comfortable with and are able to connect with. The consultation meeting would give us the opportunity to decide what support you’re seeking & what tailored treatment may be appropriate for you.

I look forward to hear from you and support you on your therapy journey.

Many Thanks
