My Approach

I am a Jungian psychotherapist/an analytical psychologist. I see people as intricate jigsaw puzzles; all the pieces interconnect and influence one another. I am interested in the whole of you, your mind, your soul, your body, your emotions - what you feel and what you think. We will use metaphor and symbolism in our work, look at dreams and stay aware that we live in the every day world.

Some times I work with people for 6 sessions once a week, and sometimes three times a week for a number of years. We will work that out together - find what is right for you.

About Me

I am an analytical psychologist, Jungian Analyst and Gestalt Psychotherapist. I also have extensive experience of working short term with people. This means that I know what it is like to feel that life is generally OK, but something has derailed you at present - a bereavement, career issues, stress, depression, relationship issues, and we can work together for a short period of time to help you get back on track.

Sometimes though, some of us can feel that life is not as we would like it to be, that we have longer term issues with relationships or certain aspects of life, and we would like the opportunity to look more deeply into ourselves. I can work with you and support you in that, and together we can find a more peaceful, more self accepting, truer way of being in the world.

  • Individuals
  • Private healthcare referrals

Special Interests

Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.

As I get older, I am increasingly interested in what life is like for women who live on their own. The stress of the continuous decision making - the sense of aloneness which is different from being lonely.
I am interested in working with women with a diagnosis, or who believe they have high functioning autism (aspergers syndrome)
Much of life is relationships, whether in a one two one intimate relationship or just with the girl who sells the train tickets. Our society continuously emphasises that 'people who need people are the luckiest people in the world'. But are they really? Some people dont need that contact - and then berate themselves that there is something wrong with them. Learning to live with oneself, to accept oneself, to stop berating ourselves because we are not someone else, means achieving a place of quietness and self respect.
