My Approach

As an integrative therapist, I draw on different models, theories and ideas to find what works for you, what resonates and supports your understanding of your experience. From Psychodynamic theory I can draw on an understanding of the developmental context of each person and its legacy, from Object Relations theory I see our need for relationship as primary and central to us. Relational models such as Intersubjective Systems Theory and Dialogical Gestalt help me in using the therapeutic relationship to create 'a safe space' for you to see how you can be responded to, to notice how my responses impact you, to recognise what you find helpful and reassuring and what may be difficult or aversive. We can use this 'space' and relationship to learn what you need. I draw on newer ideas of understanding the internal parts of people, how these parts influence our choices, interact with each other and can cause inner confusion.
I am continually curious - people are always unique and surprising. I am constantly learning, layering up my skills and knowledge from different ideas out in the world and from my clients.

About Me

I am a Humanistic Integrative Psychotherapist. I completed my training at Bath Centre for Psychotherapy and Counselling and have been practising since 2017. I love this work, and I am passionate about helping people to develop their relationship with themselves, to find more fulfilling ways of living. I have worked in many different health, mental health, educational and care contexts and came to train in psychotherapy from a desire to connect more deeply, more holistically with individuals to support them to find their own way forwards.
