I've been working for almost 14 years now as a Gestalt Psychotherapist. I described my approach as relational and attuned in a body-centred, trauma-informed way. I also work with the voice and how you find your unique, authentic expression of yourself.
I attend to how you shape your understanding in the here and now experience;. I look out for any repeating patterns which are now no longer useful to you and may be creating difficulties in your relationships with others. I attend to the non-verbal and how you hold and embody your thoughts and emotions e.g. breathing patterns, muscle tension. I believe that the relationship between client and therapist is key to healing. As such I work relationally in a carefully attuned way. My approach is creative and experiential.
I am an experienced Gestalt psychotherapist who is currently working remotely - online and on the telephone.
I offer EMDR and Sensorimotor Psychotherapy. i also offer an expressive arts based approach with a particular emphasis on voicework.
I offer supervision to trainees as well as experienced counsellors and psychotherapists. I'm a Metanoia Approved Supervisor and on the Supervisor's list for the Arts Institute for Therapy and Education.
Currently I work in private practice and as a supervisor at Women and Girls Network and Jewish Women's Aid.
Previously I have worked as
Clinical Lead for North London Rape Crisis at Solace Women's Aid.
Case manager and counsellor for an Employees Assistance Programme (EAP)
Assistant Tutor on the Gestalt Psychotherapy Training Programme at Metanoia Institute
Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.
