My Approach

For adults I will meet with you for two initial exploratory sessions to think with you about your difficulties and for you to get a sense of whether beginning psychoanalysis or psychotherapy with me is something that may help you and what it will entail.
For children, depending on your age and in discussion with you and your parents, I will usually meet with your parents first and then with you for four sessions to begin with. This will give me the opportunity to gain an understanding of you and for you to know what coming for sessions with me are like. Following this we can both think about whether further sessions will be helpful and if this is something you would like.
