Working with me will help you explore and resolve enduring dissatisfactions in you life. We will do that by building a deep level of trust with one another, reshaping significant emotional experiences and beliefs, and exploring without judgement all aspects of who you are and who you want to be. Our work will be completely confidential.
My approach is based on significant developments from the last few decades, which show how intimate relationships filled with stress, neglect and trauma can cause damaging responses such as anger, fear, withdrawal, depression and anxiety. Crucially, I am trained to help undo those responses through a relationship with you where it feels safe enough to explore your fears, pains and anxieties.
I have particular experience in helping those with trauma, depression, anxiety, addictions and intimacy issues. I particularly love working with young adults and couples struggling to make their relationships work. As well as face-to-face sessions, I offer online video and email sessions using encrypted software.
I am Co-Director of the London Centre for Applied Psychology at www.lcap.co.uk, where we offer evidence-based online training for everyday clinical challenges in mental health.
I trained for four years in cutting-edge, contemporary attachment theory and neuroscience at The Bowlby Centre. I am a member of The Bowlby Centre and the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP). I am insured by the Psychologists' Protection Society.
