I am a qualified psychotherapist, using psychodrama alongside a range of integrative, creative and mindfulness based methods. I originally qualified in 1995, and have worked for Social Services, the NHS, various voluntary sector agencies in the fields of mental health and substance misuse, as well as in private practice. I have a particular interest, and wide experience in working with those whose difficulties arise from childhood trauma, including physical, emotional and sexual abuse, and neglect. I also have experience of working with clients with Dissociative Disorders. I take a whole-person approach - working with body, mind and spirit to facilitate clients in their journeys of recovery and wholeness. I am the founder and Clinical Director for Trauma Breakthrough, a UK charity working with adult survivors of trauma.
Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.
