I offer both long and short term psychotherapy to individuals. I work with individuals experiencing psychological difficulties like depression, anxiety disorder, complicated bereavement reactions. I have a special interest in working with individuals experiencing the psychological effects resulting from major illnesses like cancer.
Psychotherapy can help in the adjustment to loss of body function and physical deformity due to illness and its treatment. Psychotherapy can help individuals deal with life stresses especially early child hood abuse and neglect. As a Jungian psychotherapist the therapy is focused on the individuals relationship with their inner world, their unconscious as its called.
The psychological impact on relatives of patients who are or have suffered major illnesses is often profound and can be life changing. I offer psychotherapy to relatives of people who are going through major illness.
I have previous experience of working in the NHS mental health services and current experience of working in hospice care.
