I am a UKCP-qualified therapist offering counselling and therapy for adults, including relationships. I offer a confidential, supportive and non-judgmental space for you to share your problems and not be alone. I'm trained in Process-Oriented therapy which means I take a Taoist approach, tailoring to the client's needs, goals and style and taking each new situation as the teacher in any moment. I'm here not only to help you solve problems but also to support your growth and help you get in touch with your deepest nature, to feel the joy of living.
As a holistic therapist I’m able to work on every level including, mind, body and spirit as well as recognising the physical and social realities of your life. I have helped people work on many types of problems over the years including depression and low mood, anxiety and worrying, self-criticism and low self esteem, relationship and family problems, trauma, stress, burn-out & work problems, life crises and looking for direction in life, oppression and social abuse, addictions, and more. I have a strong and abiding interest in working with sexual diversity, gender diversity and alternative sexualities, and have special experience in this area, having run a counselling service at Leicester LGB&T Centre for many years and delivered training for Pink Therapy.
Life and the nature of ‘what is trying to happen’ are my teachers and I find that change happens spontaneously by bringing our awareness to a situation rather than trying to only push against the river. For this reason I try not to push but allow your healing to happen by helping you find the bigger You.
