Read our latest guidance and resources about therapy during COVID-19.
Many people’s lives have been dramatically affected by the Covid-19 pandemic and we are all learning to adapt. As a result, you may be feeling vulnerable, distressed or overwhelmed. Like some of my clients, you might be grappling with changes in home life, work pressures or unemployment. Sadly, you may have lost loved ones and be grieving in unusual circumstances.
Whether in connection with the coronavirus pandemic or not, sometimes we feel lost and struggle to cope with life's difficulties. Taking the first step to contact a therapist can feel really difficult and so I’d like you to know that our therapeutic ‘space’ is safe and non-judgemental.
I believe in therapy as a joint venture, where we work together to increase awareness about what is troubling you. Through this process we can understand underlying issues and how these may affect your behaviour and thinking. This in turn enables you to change unwanted patterns and make better informed decisions in the future. Our main focus is your day-to-day 'here and now' experience of the issue rather than the past.
Please feel free to contact me to ask any questions or arrange a single introductory session. I look forward to hearing from you.
My qualifications include MSc. Gestalt Psychotherapy from Metanoia Institiute.
