Everyone will experience difficulties or distress in their lives or in their relationships at some point. You may be struggling with anxiety, low self-esteem, depressive feelings, loss of a key relationship, a transition in your life or career, or perhaps deeper-rooted issues from the past that have been triggered by a current situation. I work in a warm, supportive and conversational way, with the aim of establishing a strong and trusting relationship with you. I offer a safe, non-judgemental and confidential space where we can explore your experiences, feelings and concerns together.
I practice as an integrative psychotherapist, drawing on psychodynamic and humanistic approaches alongside some CBT techniques. This means I am interested in exploring how your childhood experiences and attachments have affected you and your relationships, as well as focusing on your self-development as a whole to reach your full potential.
I know that deciding to start therapy can be a big step, so please feel free to contact me for a chat. I will suggest a short phone call first to understand how you are feeling, and the issues you are seeking support for. We could then meet for an initial consultation session to see if you would like to see me on an ongoing basis. Sessions are weekly and last for 50 minutes. I currently offer Zoom video or telephone sessions. I work short or long-term depending on your needs.
My aim for our work together would be to provide comfort, a deeper understanding of yourself, and a sense of what options you have for positive empowerment and change in your life.
