I work within a model called Transactional Analysis. The guiding principle behind the theory is that we can all change. It might not always be easy, but it is possible.
People have come to me for many reasons. Some have been in tatters, some have wanted a path to more fulfilment, some: “just want to feel like me again”. Whatever you are looking for help with, I will understand; and we can work together to understand what is holding you back, and find a new way forward.
I have worked with people from all classes, cultures, sexual orientations and gender identities. As well as adults and couples, I also work with young people (16+) with problems linked to exam stress, identity and other issues around approaching adulthood.
As well as being a Certified Transactional Analyst (CTA), I also hold a diploma in couples counselling. I am a member of the BACP, UKCP, ITAA, EATA and IARTA. These bodies maintain rigourous standards of ethics, training and CPD, to which I adhere because I believe that continuous development is crucial to being a good therapist. I attend regular workshops and training sessions to ensure my skillset and thinking are up-to-date.
