About Me

Special Interests

Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.

I have specialised in addiction therapy for 20 years, working from a psychodynamic understanding.
Anxiety is the “problem of our time” and there are ways of understanding how you experience the world and why this has come to be the way you relate to the world, in order for change to be effective.
I believe that psychoanalytic ways of working offer a unique perspective on what we think of as depression and offer in turn a way out of the “tunnel”.
It could be said that most presenting problems are in some way reducible to relational problems. That said, what is it about our relational experiences that may be contributing to the difficulties?
