I am a BACP and UKCP accredited psychotherapist with nearly 20 years experience of clinical practice both in the private sector and the NHS. I work with both individuals and couples. I offer psychotherapy in a safe and confidential environment, providing non-judgemental support to help you explore the concerns and difficulties that have led you to seek help.
I work psychodynamically, an approach which explores past as well as present issues. Our early experiences can often have a powerful effect on shaping our view of the world as we develop and become adults. Sometimes we are trapped by long held beliefs which may be unhelpful and lead to negative and repetitive feelings and behaviours. Considering past experiences alongside present problems often helps to bring into focus how difficulties have arisen. Reflecting on these issues can help to re-shape the present and approach the future in a more positive manner.
I have extensive experience in working with members of the LGBTQI community and understand how the unique pressures which are often experienced can place individuals and relationships under enormous stress.
I also have many years of experience working with individuals and couples in the entertainment industry and in high profile positions. This work has ranged from stress management to addiction issues and the problems associated with living under public scrutiny.
Psychotherapy isn't just about seeking help in a crisis. If you frequently experience problems which have an impact on how you function day to day, please get in touch. My practice is located in Central London, within a short walk from Great Portland Street, Oxford Street and Regents Park tube stations. You are welcome to contact me by telephone or email to set up an initial appointment which would then be followed by weekly sessions.
All communications are confidential.
