There are many different styles of therapy - I am a Gestalt therapist which is a very relational and engaged style. As a therapist my objective would be to help you get to know yourself, how you make sense of the world around you, how you react to different situations and how you could make different choices that could enhance your life.
Many people seeking therapy will be experiencing emotional problems, but therapy can also be beneficial if you just want to have a better understanding of yourself. Therapy can do for the mind what exercise does for the body. It can enliven you, help you to think more flexibly, make you emotionally stronger and help to prevent problems occurring in the future.
Due to Covid-19 I moved from face-to-face to working online, usually via the video conferencing app 'Zoom'. I have found working online to be effective and more convenient for many clients. I do not anticipate returning to face-to-face work in the foreseeable future.
